I JUST WENT TO WATCH DEATH NOTE (THE MOVIE)!!!
YES ON 19 OCT, THE DAY IT OPENS IN CINEMAS, AT 9.15PM!
we (miao, xiao, and me) were supposed to catch the 6.45 show, but we couldn't get the seats. so we took the 9.15pm show instead. haha.
K I JUST HAVE TO SAY THE MOVIE ROCKS OK!! MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST GO AND WATCH!! PLEASE IGNORE MIAO COS THE MOVIE IS NICE!!
despite ryuk looking ridiculously fake (i must admit that the CGI sucks), but he looks exactly the same as that in the manga. they even included the heart shaped earring!
AND I'M TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THAT GUY WHO ACTED AS L PLEASE! AND HE ACTED IN NANA ALSO! SHIN. I DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNISE HIM!!! yes and he acted exactly like how L is in the manga. the way he sits, the way he chews his thumb, the way he holds the handphone and the spoon, the way he walks... but i'm kind of sad that they didn't change his hairstyle to that of L's. but nevertheless, it's still black hair and kind of nice looking messy.
OK AND THAT GUY WHO ACTED AS LIGHT (or raito) IS THE LEAD FOR BATTLE ROYALE!! ok i don't really like him in the poster cos L looks shuai-er than him in the poster. L is supposed to be this super eccentric but smart detective, but light is this super sadistic but shuai criminal. but anyway, he is convincing.
ah. the plot. the scriptwriter changed some parts to it but still stuck rather faithfully to the original one. come to think of it, the starting is quite cool. but they got light's age mixed up, apparently. haha. he's supposed to be a kookoo-sei in the starting of the movie, and not a daigaku-sei. AND HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND. SHIORI IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE MOVIE. wth. and i'm quite upset the way naomi died. i mean, she didn't die that way in the manga (although both died cos of "suicide"). yeah but the bus hijack scene is exactly the same as that in the manga so, i guess that made up for those parts.
AND YES I WAS TALKING TO TANHONGYE ON MSN JUST NOW. HE WATCHED THE 6.15PM SHOW. WTH I DIDN'T EVEN SEE HIM AT WESTMALL!!!
and the girl who acted as misa misa. SHE IS IN NOBUTA WO PRODUCE TOO!! i recognised her. erm she's the girl who likes shuji in nobuta. yeah she's pretty. but kind of sad that she got casted as misa misa, who is this stupid girl who got used by light and didn't even know it.
oh yeah. 8days rated death note for only 3 stars. NOO!!! SHOULD BE 5++++STARS!!

it came out in japan 4 months ago, on 6/17. the second (and also the last) movie is coming out in nov in japan. i heard it will be coming to singapore in december. yeah i will kill them if they don't import it. haha. xD
SPOILERS OF DEATH NOTE: THE LAST NAME AHEAD. PLEASE HIGHLIGHT THE FOLLOWING TEXT IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THEM.
so yeah death note one is from books 1-3. death note: the last name, is most probably from books mid7-12. they skipped quite a few parts. in death note 2, N and Mello are appearing straight i heard. the starting will be L's death. that is according to what i have heard. haha. yeah and i think they named the second movie as such is because the last name to be written into the death note (either light or n) will die and lost the battle. if you read the manga, n and light had a final battle and ryuk will write either one's name into his own death note and that person will die, and lose the battle. yeah i guess that's how the name came about.
